Amy Osburn, LPC

Background

I am Amy Osburn, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Blue Wave Counseling. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University, I have dedicated my career to helping people overcome trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. My approach is centered on meeting clients where they are, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Mindfulness. I also hold a certification in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0), which I incorporate into my work, especially with clients seeking career counseling and leadership development.

As a former law enforcement officer and the spouse of a first responder, I understand firsthand the physical and emotional challenges that come with high-stress careers. This personal experience drives my passion for providing mental health support to first responders, veterans, and their families. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to provide flexible and convenient access to care. My goal is to help you heal from past trauma, find balance, and build resilience for the future.
